AHHHH WHY. I was one of the people going into this movie determined to like it. Really. and when the opening started and it was like the shows opening, I flailed, everyone was all OMG and excited
theeeeeeen the movie actually started
Every scene was rushed. WHY? the movie was over in an hour and a half why did you need to RUSH? Probably because bending took FOREVER. They'd just flail their arms around all STANCE and stupid crap, and I'd be like "...wheres the water."
Aang..... The actor I guess did OKAY but the lines were horrible. like, im going to wake up and first thing im gonna say to you is 'im from an air temple, lol i ran away but im good now i wanna go back' and his story was fuuuucked up. DUDE THE ENDING? There was no Aang raging out with the Ocean spirit and destroying ships (or killing Zhao... I'll get to that) cause the story was changed about him not being able to water bend offensively. GUYS HE WAS AIR BENDING OFFENSIVELY YOUR 'THE AVATAR IS NOT MEANT TO HARM PEOPLE' SHIT IS MOOT POINT. So he just makes a big wave, the fire nation goes "WOAH RUN AWAY" and they run away

Sokka.. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT GIVE IT? PLEASE? OKAY NO? FINE he had no development. He was just... THERE. all derp I gotta protect my sister, and support aang 100%! ...NO. And he had crazy eyes going on half the time. and NOOOOOOOOO development with the princess. Just HI- OH WE'RE IN LOVE NOW OKAY. The show went quick with that but the movie it was INSTANT
Katara ....failfailfail I wanted to punch her. She kept all OMG IM BADAAAAAASSS- oh fail. The funniest thing she did was, there was a fire bender going LOLOLOLOL at Aang and she stormed over and just pushed him
That and "I AM KATARA FROM THE SOUTHERN WATER TRI- *hit by a fireball/pwned*"
Zuko, gonna say the actor did good. They didn't really give him a big chance to DO much though but what he had was good. Except the flash back scene was weird... but that was the writing. He acted well, better than the other three, for the most part
Iroh, before seeing the movie I was MOST worried about his character. Funny enough, he still loves tea, said random things, and was obviously a good guy really. HOWEVER again they didn't give him a chance to be awesome. Even his big RAAAAAGE scene? HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING. "OH I MADE FIRE" Others: OH SHIT *RUNS*

Zhao ......eDHIFSNKRBFDVSJKN <3 haha Aasif Mandvi captured that character perfect. He starts talking and you're like "WO UBER DOUCHE BAG" like Zhao should be. He actually played him very well. After I giggled about 'omg its AASIF' (I KILLED THE MOON JON) I was impressed with him

His death?
In the show he PUNCHED the fish, killed the moon spirit with it. In the movie... he stabs the fish, kills the water spirit for about 5 seconds, Aang never even seems to NOTICE, therefore never RAAAAAAAAGES with the Ocean Spirit.
So. Zhao is like "ZUKO 8| I KEEL- oh fuck its Iroh" and this is where he was over dramatic, in this tiger stance all 888888888888| but it was funny. Zhao though shouldn't lose his cool.
THEN HIS DEATHREHGNJIDKC some RANDOM water benders come up, put him in a BUBBLE (A. BUBBLE) and float him in the air, then drop him. Bam hes dead.

I really wouldn't recommend ya'll spending MONEY to see it. Its bad. I'm not saying never see it your eyeballs will explode, but its not worth the prices they charge in theaters, in my opinion :\

most of the lines were painful and forced, and the story was SO FUCKED. I mean, I expected changes because it's a new medium, a retelling of the same story and all. BUT NO. This was horrible. ;;
And I don't think they ever said 'Appa' in the movie. Hes there but...just that. THERE. Same with Momo.
AND WHY WAS THERE SO MUCH FIRE LORD OZAI? WHY WAS HE THERE SO MUCH. AND WHY DID HE GIVE A FUCK ABOUT ZUKO? HES SUPPOSED TO BE ASHAMED OF HIM NOT ROOTING FOR HIM TO BE THE ONE TO CATCH THE AVATAR
Many scenes were randomly cut short too. Like a character would be TALKING and SCENE END. The funniest though was Zhao was talking to Ozai and Fire Lord was like "you think my son is the blue spirit? and Zhao goes

I'm just so disappointed. So very much. I wanted to like it. I didn't even think the effects were that great. Half the time, to me, the ice LOOKED fake. And they didn't look like they were actually out there, it was like OH LOOK GREEN SCREEN GOOD JOB GUYS
It had potential. If things had not been RUSHED and they'd focused more on getting to know the characters (If its the excuse 'but the fans should KNOW the characters' ...NO NOT IF YOU CHANGED THEM.) and making us GIVE A SHIT about the plot changes instead of just being all 'oh by the way'
They did show Azula at the VERY VERY VERY VERY end and the casting for her looks perfect. She had a crazy laugh, a crazy smile, and CRAAAAAAAAAAZY eyes. But idk this one was so bad :C
I AM DISAPPOINT
On a completely different note, I had my first day at work yesterday. I am on the Toys department, and I'm a Sales Associate (no cash register type stuff) I mostly help customers and stock shelves and so on. Keep my area how it should be
I meet my trainer today (I still haven't met my department head..) but I think mostly I gotta spend today doing training things on the computer, oh.
8 hour shift, 1 to 10 (8 hours cause I get an 1 hour lunch) and looks like I've got that for the next three weeks. Fine with me.
I work 4 days a week, get 3 days off from the looks of things (at least thats what it is for the next 3 weeks) So not bad
