The Worst Movies by the Best Directors

It's an interesting concept, reviewing the worst films by great directors. However, I think he chooses poorly in several cases. While War of the Worlds wasn't a great film, Spielberg has made worse. Like the leaden Amistad or the utterly forgettable Always.

Also I completely disagree with him on To Catch A Thief which I think is a charming Hitchcock film, if not as suspenseful as some of his other pieces. Under Capricorn is the worst Hitchcock film I've seen. I don't know if it's the worst bar none, but I've seen most of them and it's spectacularly bad.

There are some other directors not on the list who would be interesting though. What's Linklater's worst piece? How about Altman? Woody Allen? Almodovar? Tim Burton? Of course you want to keep the list short, but I could have done without Tarantino on this list (especially because he misses as often as he hits), and I'd trade off Ridley Scott or Brian DePalma for one of these more interesting alternatives.
