Daniel had gotten the idea from her jewelry box. He'd already known what he was going to do for Vala for Christmas, but then she suddenly came up with a birthday. Normally, he would have come up with something random, but she'd chosen the day they'd met out of all of the days. He couldn't let that go without doing something special. Something unique. And when he saw the box, he knew.
