Seize the Day - NaNoWriMo Attempt - Chapter 15

Haven't written anything yet today, but I worked last night, and I'm feeling incredibly tired. I will probably get up "early" tonight and write before work. Maybe for only 20-30 minutes, though. That should be enough to keep me on track to win on the 30th. ;)

Hajime, despite being himself, made some good points to Savin. The thing about Savin's bisexuality being a phase was NOT one of them. When I read that, I was like "rawr, you shut up now, you misinformed [expletive]!" >_< I, *ahem*, do NOT look too kindly at people who think bisexuality isn't a real, legit sexual orientation.

I was kind of amused that Savin said his dad put off a lot of patients' families -- somehow, I am not remotely surprised about that. I was also quite amused when Savin referred to Jazz by his preferred nickname because oops.

Is Mari jealous? Because I could see that if she interpreted Savin's words as saying she's not as attractive or love-worthy as Jazz, even if that's not really what Savin meant. Is jealousy why she was acting kind of odd? Or is it something else? Does she ever get romantically lucky in the series or is she still gonna be single when it all ends? Is she happy at the end of the series ( ... )

Yeah, I always knew there was some tension there about Savin's sexuality but it was always difficult to get it to come across. This conversation, right here? Definitely shows where all of that tension between them comes from.

I'm not remotely surprised about that, either. And hah, yeah. Because in his mind, Jazz is Jazz. This "Prince" stuff and "Jasper" doesn't fit the man he met, y'know?

I don't know? I don't think she's necessarily jealous but like, kind of disappointed that Savin's found someone else. Like jealous, but only in the friend sense, not in a romantic sense. Once she realizes Savin's still going to need her, so to speak, I think she'll manage to push past it. But this might be the source of some of the tension between Jazz and Savin later, as well.

Whether she'll be happy/not single, I don't know. You're asking me to predict the future of this series, which likes to change frequently. =p

I knowwww. That's a bit heavy-handed for foreshadowing, isn't it? Oops.

If/when you write that "Mitchel meets the parents" fic, do you think Hajime would still have issues with Savin's bisexuality? Would that depend on when, relative to the canon timeline, the fic takes place? It would be interesting to see what comes of the interaction if Savin's dad still does have issues with it, heh.

Now I'm very randomly wondering what Mitchel's parents thought of his sexuality.

I think he might come to terms with it more or less by the time the series is over. So he'd be aware that Savin's attraction to men isn't just gonna go away. Especially not after he MARRIES Jazz. Maybe that ridiculously difficult scene of Savin going to his father for advice is actually in this version, altered a bit of course, where Hajime finally "gets" it.

Dude I know nothing about Mitchel's parents and still strongly believe the dude was adopted, lol.
