Jazz's diplomatic meeting went about as well as I would have expected, though I almost expected a more disastrous outcome because, well, your universe has primed me to expect disaster, lol. Oh, Jazz, you should have looked at the Empire's freaking budget!

Just what happened between Casio and Jazz's mother? And why do I have the feeling that the pressure will be too much for Casio? Is that just paranoia or are you going to give him the addiction subplot? He did seem awfully...eager to make sure he got painkillers, at least to me.

Mitchel was being his usual Mitchel-y self, but he did have a point that Jazz really isn't ready to run the Empire.

Yay, Savin's on Casio's medical team, but...how is he going to deal with his father? Is his dad going to end up on the team, too?

You're thinking too far ahead for this series, lol. The disastrous stuff really doesn't hit until like, partway through book 2. (Yes, I think there is more than one book, now). And he should have! But Jazz is still learning. xD

I don't know what happened between the two of them. I know she left, apparently, and that's about it. And of course the pressure will be too much! Why wouldn't it be? Running a vast Empire like that, getting it through one war, knowing it's at the brink of another.... Yeah. And I'm not 100% on the addiction subplot yet, but I'm thinking yes, he's getting it.

Of course he was! And he almost always has a point, that one, even if he IS Mitchel.

And of course Hajime's gonna end up on the team. Why wouldn't he? lol. I'm trying to keep my cast limited to the players I already know, haha.
