Seize the Day - NaNoWriMo Attempt - Chapter 8

No longer ahead on the NaNoWriMo goals, but I am on par with them, even if I don't manage to get many words down on the page, today. This chapter's kinda long, though, and NSFW there, in the middle. Because well, it's Jazz and Savin, and they're horny motherfuckers.

I kinda thought something like an infection might happen to the Emperor's surgical site -- I remember wondering if his recovery would go smoothly, lol. Yikes, I hope they take can care of that infection without too many complications! It's not one of those Evil Antibiotic Resistant Superbugs of Doom that people get in real life hospitals, is it?

I am also zero percent surprised Jazz and Savin started going at it in the hospital because, well, it's them. The plan to get Savin on Casio's medical staff is a clever one, but I do wonder if anyone will figure out WHY they're doing that, heh.

Yeah, a lot of what's happening so far in this version has always been staples of the previous versions. There's always been an infection, always been a one-night-stand between Jazz and Savin, Savin being on Casio's medical team....

Mitchel'll know in like .00001 seconds, but he's, y'know, Mitchel. I think I know how this gets split into two books, now, though. Maybe. I'm not sure yet. Things that I thought were no longer relevant are trying to push themselves back into the picture, so I really AM winging the hell out of this...

NaNo is the time for winging it! I'm definitely winging it with my story, too, and the characters are being way more physical right away than I intended. At least, Desmond just started kissing Everett out of nowhere because he couldn't resist. Oops?

Maybe I ask what things are trying to push themselves back into the picture?

An addiction subplot that was meant for Ryin, but I never ever wrote far enough into book 2 to cover it. There was plenty of foreshadowing for it, but it never really came to fruition. Casio may or may not get it, now.

Which will make Savin's bad habit of smoking when stressed that much more er... irksome for Jazz, in later parts of the series. Like perhaps Casio's potential addiction is what pushes Jazz to become Emperor (or at least, what paves the way for it).

I'm still not entirely sure if it's one book or two, but that seems to be the direction they want to take the book... We'll see what happens, lol.
