So my NaNo project? Completely rewriting the Tomorrow Trilogy so that it's no longer a trilogy and mostly focuses on Jazz and Savin's story, in a tighter, more abridged sense. I'm sticking with the title Seize the Day for now, because it still fits a lot of the "theme" that seems to be present in the book. Yay NaNoWriMo!

The talk of Savin as a "lowly" anything amused me maybe more than it should have, because I do not think of him as particularly lowly, especially given what happens later in the story, heh. Even before all that, he's such a skilled surgeon that "lowly" just doesn't seem like the right word to use. Yeah, maybe compared to Jazz he's "lowly," but it still strikes me as kinda funny to see Savin thinking of himself that way.

I don't think doctors are well-renowned in this 'verse. I'm kind of basing it off our world, if the British Empire never fell apart. And Savin is a good surgeon in this version, and Mari may have said he's one of the best -- but he knows he really isn't. He just started making a name for himself in the medical field, that's all. :)
