There's something about campus at dawn and sneaking into a building you know should still be locked. And there are spiders in the doorway and you walk through their webs with a sense of charm rather than repulsion. And when people arrive to unlock the building, you huddle in the corner next to the electronics you don't plan on stealing and cease typing lest they hear you. The light comes in slowly at first, then fully, brilliantly, and your eyes ease up their strain. And the world wakes before you, though you are small and elusive; though you are your own secret.
