This is me making a post.

So I havn't really posted anything here in a very long time. =/ Sry about that.

So, lemmie see.. What's happened since last I made a real post?

Well, I came back to the east coast. I'm in Halifax again. It took me a very long time to actually find a place to live that wasn't a shit hole. I'm living in the south end near the Down Town (once again) and eh.. It's not so bad. Rent is a bit high, but really, where in Halifax is the rent actually decent? NO WHERE!! For whatever reason, the rent here is so over priced for what you get.. It dosn't make much sence to me.. Eh.. But so little makes sence here.

I'm working at McKelvies again, it's ok.. The head Chef has left, so it's a strange experence there now. The sous chef, and first cook have taken over the duties and eh.. Their kinda making their go of it but honestly, moral in the kitchen is low and there is a lot of bickering going on that wasn't there before. I've managed to stay out of all the in fighting which has always been a talent of mine. I've always come across for the most part as being harmless and well.. I am. HAA!! But eh.. Screw it. I'm not going to stress out of other peoples sad attemts to bring drama and intensity to their lives like that.

I've been keeping busy with work, watching some movies here and there. Hanging with some friends. So the norm really. Mind you it would be nice to actually have time to go and get my computer fixed or magically get a chunk of cash for a new comp. lol But eh.. it'll happen sooner or later.

I actually have plans tonight, I'm meeting a couple of friends from Scotland who are here in the new Scotland for a lecture and sampling of "Raw Food" at some hippy cafe on Quinpool. Eh.. I'm not really that -big- on Raw Food, it's basiclly just veggies, if at all heated just up to 160 degrees for a few seconds so that their still crisp. The idea is that nutrition is lost in the cooking process and that there is more fiber in the crispness, so by not cooking (or over cooking) the product you're getting a healthier meal out of it. While yes, you do lose nutrition and other goodness when you over cook things but it takes a lot of cooking to mess something up. And eh.. It's usually paired with the idea of local food and organic jazz.. Local food is great in only some instances. I'd like you to find a local Banana here in Halifax. And the term organic is really just a marketing tool used to get easily influenced eco hippsters to pay more money for produce.

But yeah... Russ and Simon wanna go, and it's only 15$ so why the hell not? It'll be worth it. Russ was thinking that there was going to be alcohol serverd there but I really don't think so.. So I'm not sure what's going to happen after that... I have this odd feeling that he's going to pull a steriotype again and after it's said and done get plastered. Which I think could be funny... =p

So yeah, there you go. Stuff, jazz and the other crap.

Stuff I stole from Jenn...
