В предверии нового альбома..
Here is one of the latest signings to Maverick records. Onesidezero sees an effort that is worthy of standing up to the Deftones godly yet underappreciated masterpiece Adrenaline. Like their labelmates Onesidezero play a rather emotional, abstract type of rock that is never short in moodiness and has a hint of metal in it.
The album starts off on a very sad note with the song "Instead Laugh." This song sees the singer Jasan Radford showing the true potential of his pipes. Carrying out high notes and showing his emotional intensity with the greatest of ease.
This track shows off also the guitarists' and drummer's awesome chops. Then comes "Holding Cell." Which makes the album even sadder and deeper with its drab yet beautiful melody. And through out the album it alternates through moody and unhappy to somewhat heavy and angry.
This shows the bands intensity with feelings on their instruments.
Lyrically the words sung in this album are very abstract. But the way they are put they seem to deal with pain and loss. Making this album all the more moody.
Overall, this is an extremely strong effort put out by Onesidezero. I have no problems with it. And I only await their next album.
