Oh Canada...

This weekend was really good. I feel like I did a lot but I didn't get anything done. (if that makes sense)

Thursday- Chase and I headed to Toronto. We got there about 8 and met up with Miss Eileen. Then we walked Chase to the Akron/Family, Angels of light show. I kind of wish I went too but I had a really good time talking/walking/catching up with Eileen. She is a really beautiful worth while person and it had been far far too long since we saw each other. She goes to Ryerson University in Toronto, and she was nice enough to let us crash with her. Its always cool seeing other peoples schools, but at the same time I get kind of bummed that about the one I ended up with. I just wonder how things would be if I went to a specific art school... Now I am graduating and I can tell you about women and society and history and anatomy but ask me about print making and I am clueless... Kind of shitty.

Anyway- Friday we slept in then walked around Toronto for a bit. Its beautiful there and close... It makes me sad that I have been here in Buffalo so long but spent so little time there. It also makes me sad because it's a glimpse of how living in a city could be. (aka if it were not Buffalo) I really think I would consider moving there if it weren't so near impossible to get a work visa. I mean come on... Veg friendly food everywhere, recycling on the street, polite people, beautiful surroundings, clean... yeah oh well. I guess.
We ate some good vegan food. mmm cruelty free brownie...* with Eileen and parted ways to go shopping and then to the show. Chase and I walked around Urban, and then the new 3 floor H&M at Eaton Center. Strangely and much to Chases surprise I didn't take long and acutally didn't buy anything.
Then we walked down to where the show was *Fantomas and the locust*
oh man so excited.
We met up with Glenn, and later Chris. It was awesome to see him! Yet another person I feel bad about not staying more in touch with.
The show was awesome too. The locust always makes me smile. I love their live show. And OH yes I get a locust belt Buckle. But I still badly want a locust suit- with a mini skirt...
Fantomas was quite a sight to behold. I had never seen any of Patton's projects live before. I guess it was just really interesting to me to see where man and machine separated or in some cases came together to create his music. I was also really impressed with the fact that his vocal range is just as impressive if not more so live. I was just really happy to be there with my boy. He loves them a lot and I am glad I got to share it with him.
After the show I needed a pizza fix... bad... So we found a place and they actually had vegan pizza. It was exciting. Then we went back to Eileen's to get her packed up. (we worked it out that we were giving her and all her dorm stuff a ride to Buffalo to meet up with Dave.) well as it turns out she had more stuff than a small Toyota containing 3 people can hold... I guess she left her stuff with her friends. And we headed back to the Etas Unis. ew.
Oh well it was great to get away even if it was just one night. I had a lot of fun with my boy. I am really happy.
