Surviving the holidays
WHEW!! Well *that's* over then.
I feel equilibrium coming on. I'm just now starting to feel really comfortable at the new job, and the hellidaze are past us now. They weren't even really all that hellish. The hubs and I got several stained glass pieces done as gifts. I decided to tone down the bakestravaganza to only 3 kinds of cookies, bourbon balls, and chocolate chip cakes, so much less stress there.
Alex got me a Serenity Package at a local Tres Snoo-tay day spa, which involves FOUR HOURS of patting, rubbing and general spoiling, lunch included. I. Can't. Wait. He got the XBOX360. It's not making me as much of a videogame widow as the last one did, and there's even some stuff I like to play, like Viva Pinata. And downloading episodes of Venture Bros. right to the xbox from the internet ROCKS.
Even though the concept of Jan 1 as a start point is totally arbitrary, the shiny fresh new feeling it has is still undeniable. I'm ready! I have really missed you guys, and I definitely feel like I can make more time for staying in touch now.
