[He looks unusually stoic. There's a dry smile on his face. Bitter almost...?]

I've never been told by someone that they love me before.

[Smile fades somewhat.]

But now they're gone. [His eyes flit off the screen.] So I guess it doesn't really matter. [A pause. No, he will not look at the camera.] Tch. It was probably..Stockholm's Syndrome ( Read more... )

Orihara-san...

[A slight pause.]

Would you like some tea?

["Would you like some company?"]

[...Maybe it won't hurt.]

Sure, Minato-kun~! That'd be nice. I can't recall the last time we had tea together...

[Grinning now. He doesn't seem uncomfortable at all, no.]

When would you like to?

[There's a pause as he observes this. And then, tone quietly firm--]

Are you busy right now?

[What good does company do if he can't give Izaya company right now?]

[Shifty eyes.]

No. [Of course not. Why would he be?]

Would you like to come over for tea? [He smirks but the same coyness isn't really there right now.] Promise I won't poison it~.

[Why yes he is trying to push him away subtly.]

[Minato doesn't even need to pause. He simply bows his head slightly.]

Of course. I'd be happy to.

I'll be there in a few minutes, alright?

[Whether Izaya is trying to push him away or not--Minato doesn't plan to let him. And that he why he stands already, starting on his way.]

[You're still weird. But he nods once, twice.]

Sure. I'll be here.

[Obviously. He shuts the SFC off and pushes away from his desk. He doesn't know why he made that stupid feed anyway but regardless he goes to put the kettle on the stove to get water boiling.

Something Kaori would typically do- however. He ignores this and goes to distract himself by cleaning up around his desk.]

[A few minutes later, Minato stands at Izaya's door. He's not nervous, despite everything; he simply lifts his hand and knocks.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

To have tea with Izaya again, but hopefully with a very different conclusion.]

[Luckily for Minato, Izaya isn't in the mood to fuck around with him.

Although he isn't really looking forward to this. He opens the door and sort of scowls.]

You're not going to make me talk about my feelings, are you?

[He knows he's being uncharacteristic but...Tch. He scowls and gestures for Minato to come in.

If anyone can see this, it's at least Minato.]

[A slight tilt of his head, and Minato follows Izaya in.]

Not if you don't want to. I just wanted to keep you company, Orihara-san.

Would you like any help preparing the tea?

[SIGH. OF RELIEF.]

That's good~! Minato-kun is such a considerate boy.

Only if you want. [He smirks somewhat because how can he not? He wanders into the kitchen and gets out the tea he had planned on serving.]

How has Minato-kun been? [He's not looking at him but instead focusing on the tea.]

[He's never been one to push, that much is true. He simply follows Izaya to the kitchen, searching for the cups so he can help.]

I've...been alright.

[A quiet sigh.]

A lot of people have disappeared lately.

Just all right~? Has Minato-kun lost dear persons to him then?

[He doesn't entirely disagree though. He's noticed a lack of people in his SFC and a gap in the address book here and there. It's hopeful and scary at the same time.

Well, for a lot of people. For him, it's nothing significant.]

Wonder why though. Here.

[He takes the cups from Minato and proceeds to fill them with the tea.]

Would you like to go sit out on the couch or at the kitchen counter?

[He doesn't see any reason to hide it. And he tilts his head at the question.]

..Either is fine by me. Which would you prefer?

[And then he nods.]

Yes, I've lost some important people. Have you?

[...it's just a fair question.]
