Headcanon, the necessary evil

Oct 04, 2010 01:35

So, because Brave is a one-shot opponent character, he has very little canon backstory.  The fact that he has any at all is astonishing and a testament to Team Ragnarok's supposed importance to the plot (spoiler: they really don't have any).  But it does make it necessary to apply some headcanon here and there.

Here is his CANON everything.

[HEADCANON]
  • Brave is from Denmark, although he didn't stay there much past the end of his schooling. Too adventurous. xD He left home at 17ish to explore the world and go treasure hunting.
  • He speaks...Danish, English, Japanese, some German, some Swedish, enough French and Spanish to get around, and...that's it. He picks up languages fairly easily, although retaining it is another story.
  • He's an only child, but he's one of the few YGO characters who actually had a stable family life.
  • He's about 24/25 in current canon. (He was about six during Zero Reverse.)
  • He is a very good cook when he needs to be (like when Harald is around). but he's way to lazy to make a career out of it. Not to mention it isn't as fun as treasure hunting!
  • Although he has bases on a few islands, the one where the kids are staying is the one he goes back to most often, because it's where he made his first big discovery.
  • He is unofficially employed by the National Museum of Denmark, because handing some of his finds over to them for money makes him feel way less guilty than selling it to random buyers. He still keeps some of the stuff he finds for himself, though. Like that tiara? Yeah, totally kept that.
  • He met Harald and Dragan about 2 years ago (sometime before episode 1).  He'd been taken care of the orphaned kids for a few months before that.
