Do you know what I love almost as much as Jessica? Microsoft Office. It owns!
I bought some sweet books over the weekend. I got M*A*S*H, and The Guns of August. I started reading M*A*S*H last night and I flew through it. I'll get to the GoA eventually, but at present I have to finish "What If? 2", "The Great Gatsby", and now "M*A*S*H".
On the subject of "What If? 2" I read the most facinating, thought provoking essay on Counter-Factual History. The question was, "What if Pontus Pilate Had Spared Jesus?" I read it and was totally engrossed in it. The counter-factual story was tremendous. It had things such as Christianity becoming the official state religion of Rome before Jesus's death in 96 A.D. The Roman Empire not falling when it did, in fact, it not falling at all. No Reformation. No Crusades (Islam would never have grown or would have been crushed into the ground). And, on one the threads it went off on, the first "Pope" is female and from the Ptolemic dynasty in Egypt.
Now, I know this couldn't possibly have happened. The event happened the only way it could have...but those who in believe are not condemed to Hell, as some have suggested, because they think its interesting to think about how history could have different.
Sam and I also came up with a ridiculous math equation today in AsL II involving "Fish", "negative infiniti", "divided by empty-set", and "pi".
"So ends the day's bloody business."
