Well, I use the word "word" as humor. One night at Food World I was bagging and this guy comes through the line and the cashier says, "You saved $6.00 with your Bonus Value Card." The guy simply says, "Word."
And, it wasn't in jest, or to be funny. The man said it as part of his vocabulary. It was smooth and easy. It was said as if it was naturally used all the time like that.
So, now when I say "Word", I'm quoting that guy.
