alright, so i got home last night at 5am from Cornerstone. Trip was real good. I didnt watch many bands (because not many good ones were there)... but Zao is finally awesome again, and the Norma Jeans rocked hard (i'll post some pics soon).... and One21 played all old stuff... NIV played 3 songs... Pedro the Lion played well the later half of his show (after he sobered up a bit) and said some really good things about the upcoming elections and all... and i caught one song of Joy Electric and it was cool. Starflyer59 canceled, and i missed Blaster the Rocket Man on accident (the whole reason i even went up there!!!).
some cool dudes went with us on the trip. These brothers Wes and Jason went, and i liked them a lot. and i finally got to spend some time with the other Norma Jeans i dont see much.... chris and daniel. Chris is hilarious in a really strange way.... like you gotta see him when rap comes on the radio... the way he just sits there bouncing and staring at nothing. it rules.
lots of smoke breaks..... 15 or so hour drives will do that to you. i jammed my thumb when i tried to catch a football last night at 2 am at a rest stop. daniel knows he shouldnt even try sports.
jake and i both stepped on nails while walking thru an old barn in the middle of a corn field. i got a tetanus shot today. my foot hurts.
lots of cute girls at the fest too. did daniel talk to any of them? noooooo.
but this one girl from montreal was really cute... especially since she had a french canadian accent.... hot. i didnt get any contact info from her.... i'm sure daniel davison has some.
i took some 300-400 pictures. get a digital camera, people. like i said... i'll get them on here soon.... but i've been looking at them all day.
i got halfway thru Chomsky's new book.... "Hegemony or Survival." it's insanely good and exactly what i've been wanting to read for a while. it's all about america's quest for world domination and how the plan's been going and stuff. crazy stuff like how it pretty much started with the kennedy's.... but really escalated during the reagan administration (when the first real "war on terror" happened in nicaragua), and then carried on with Bush Sr, and now taken to a new level with the current admin. this shit's real... and you people need to know it. america has taken advantage and ruined more countries than any past empire.... and it's not going to stop. we're the most terroristic state in the world, and if you don't believe read up on it.... look at sudan and nicaragua, look at eastern europe, look at cuba.... there's so much we've done to keep other countries below us. we're a democracy that hates democracy. if a country's people elects a leader we dont want in office, we ruin their government and destroy their economy.... it's so insane. read this book.... and all the other books out there that are telling what's really going on. the media is a bunch of shit. they just spit out the propaganda the white house creates.
and sudan is undergoing genocide.... just like rwanda did 12 years ago. we gotta do something to stop it. of course america won't.... we're warring with a country that's got something beneficial.... what good would helping sudan do?
anyway..... jenn's coming over tonight to drink beers and throw darts. others are welcome also.
