Xmas, new job, new home!
Iam in Salt Lake City, Utah right now! And it is OooOooOh so fun! John and I are spending our Christmas holiday up here snowboarding. we left last Friday and drove through the moonlight desert for 12 hours and then said, "this is the place" (A little LDS humor..Aud will get it) LOL. We are staying with John's uncle in his beautiful house. You look out the door to the beautiful snow capped mtns.
The first day we got here we settled in and unpacked into the guest room and had a wonderful dinner. We both hit the hay pretty early since we had gone over 24 hours without sleep. Note the hour time change too.
On Chrismas we drove into the City to walk around the SLC temple and see all the LDS sights. It was so pretty seeing snow all over the trees and smell the fresh non smog filled air. We got hot chocolate and met some very funny people at 7-11. We headed back to uncle ronnies to have X-mas dinner. Delicious! Then we al opened gifts by the fire with family from the aunts side of the family. John got me these brand new snowboarding pants! They were the white Colombia pants that I could never find in a small! I was stoked! He also got me this cute Hurley tank and new Burton snowboarding gloves. Aunt Ingred gave me some cucumber smelly stuff. As for John? In SLC I have him a scrapbook I made documenting the WHOLE year we've been together. Ive been working on it for 2 months. Every plane ticket and picture is in it. Hawaii, Washington, Mammoth, Big Bear, Surfing, and fishing....all in it. He loved it! But when we had X-mas with my family I gave him his brand new poker table! a real one! hehe. Its also a blackjack table too. Not to mention this bitchen burton hoodie too. I got Aud Sons of Provo. X-mas dinner with my family was soooooo good! OMG i'll have to post pics.
Anywho, the 3rd day John and I went Snowboarding at The Canyons in Park City. 75 per ticket! We were soooo pissed they went up that much. Fuckers! Aside from the park closing due to lightening the rest of the day was killer. We found some great powder on these hidden cat tracks and John found a black diamond run full of trees. Theres a reason Park City has famous snow! HeHe
The 4th day we rested out tooties and hung out with uncle ron. We went to Cabellas which is this HUGE sporting store. Like Cosco size! Johns uncle bought him this new pole and reele. Horray....more fishing crap. LOL. After that we went to Day Breaks! Its this new housing development that Uncle Rons thinking of moving into. Its own community with a man made lake. Gated and amazing. No scummy people or renters. We went into ALL the models. These BRAND new homes 5+ rooms 2 and 3 story starting at 300,000? OMG John and I almost shit ourselves. This one had a theater, sports room, and bar and it was still 200,000 less then my parents house! So. Cal is just so expensive. John and I both fell in love with this community and will continue to keep tabs on its development.
The 5th day we went up to Snowbird to hit the snow again. Snowbird is not for beginners we found out. LOL. Alot of skiers since Alta is next door. The texture of snow at bird is wayyy better. ALOT more powder! We boarded the whole day and went home.
6th day we just hung out a rested. And now were packing to leave. I wish we didnt have to! Its not even that cold right now. 40s....30s as a low. Not like last year when it was 7 degrees! Anywho SLC rox!
Also, NEW JOB ALERT! Yeah, Geico insurance in poway is hiring and I put in my online application last night and the lady called me this morning! I set up an interview for the 6th. Woo hoo. 14.50 an hour starting! Full health insurance from day one with a 401K. I want this job soooo badly! So all in all life is good! John and move to Poway in 2 weeks! Gosh it will be nice to move! YAY YAY!
