Today I was volunteering at the hospital like I do, and I was taking a woman in a wheelchair from the cancer center on level 1 up to where she was staying on level 8. We were on the elevator with a couple other people, going up, watching the numbers, and we were at level 7, when suddenly we heard a super loud wooshing air sound, like there was a tornado in the elevator shaft, or like an airplane was flying like 10 feet above us, and everyone looked up. Then we looked at the numbers on the elevator. Usually the numbers go 1.......2.......3....... but it was more like 7.6.5.4.3.5.3.5.3.5.3.5. People were obviously scared, and saying things like "are we falling?" and panicky, but suddenly the doors opened, and we were on level 3 (ground level), so everyone pretty much ran out of the elevator. It was pretty scary, but you'll be surprised to learn that I lived. It turns out that there was a fire alarm or something, so it recalled the elevators to ground level. I had to take my patient up the other elevators, because the elevators we were on were closed for a while after that, and we were both kind of afraid to go on the elevators. We're now mentally damaged.
