Yosuke Hanamura 2/? kyriesanctus July 2 2009, 06:41:19 UTC
Strengths-- Yosuke is fairly decent at deductive reasoning, and while he's no expert at it, he's pretty good at following up with clues to create theories. He's a good friend when it comes down to it, even though he may complain about the things he has to do for people he is still someone who helps his friends when he can. He tends to try to be a good team player, knowing when someone else is more suited to take the lead, even if it's a position he may end up being jealous of later on.

Weaknesses-- Yosuke has a tendency to let people walk all over him. He wants to help out when he can, and because of that, people take advantage of him, specifically, his fellow teenaged co-workers. His being the manager's son puts a lot of stress on him. It can also be pointed out that Yosuke's Shadow self is someone who is looking for excitement, and who wants the spotlight. Part of him puts on an act in order to be accepted by people. It is obvious he desperately wanted friends who he felt actually close to, and never felt like he fit in until finding a place on the Investigation team. He also has a knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, and is very accident prone.

History-- History.

Appearance-- Yosuke is a pretty typical looking high schooler. A little taller than average in height, and average in weight, he has messy, unkempt reddish-brown hair that spikes out from his ears down and dark eyes. Most often seen in his black Yasogami High School uniform, he seems to have a preference for the color red, as he usually finds a way to incorporate it into his outfit. He is hardly ever seen without his headphones around his neck (he carries a CD player wherever he goes). His personal style can be a little flashy at times (like a fur-collared coat or red pants). The glasses he wears while in the Midnight Channel are orange with different colored stripes on the sides.

Powers-- Yosuke has the power of Persona, a tamed Shadow, which can be ontained when one faces one's deepest, innermost secrets after they manifest in the form of a Shadow-self. By refusing oneself, the Shadow turns into a monster and attacks the person it was born from. (In the cases that someone isn't there to stop it, it usually kills them.) Yosuke's Persona is Susano-O. The powers his Persona are currently equipped with are:

Garudyne- Inflicts heavy wind damage on one enemy.
Diarama- Restores a moderate amount of one ally's HP.
Brave Blade- Inflicts severe physical damage to one enemy.
Dekaja- Cancels out all stat bonuses on enemies.
Masukukaja- Increases agility of allies for 3 turns.
Magarudyne- Inflicts heavy wind damage on all enemies.
Tentarafoo- Confuses all enemies.
Wind Boost- Heightens wind capabilities by 25%.

Considering that Personas, in Persona 4, are only use-able inside the television world, Yosuke's powers would be crippled outside of battle considerably. He would likely be able to cast the lowest level of each attack spell possible- meaning a Garudyne would be a Garu, etc. (If SP came into play, it would cost the same amount as the highest level, but do the lowest level damage.) Healing spells would be weakened, but not by as much.

Yosuke fights with double weapons, usually a pair of knives or, in some cases... Wrenches.
