What kind of place is this, then? [A pause, before a slight sigh.] Well, it was worth a try.

It's a tower. One where they make you do stupid tasks in the hopes that something good will happen if you make it to the top.

...Something like that, at least.

You're kidding, right? That sounds like the setting for some sort of game.

A very annoying game, maybe.

Games are normally fun though. Of course, it does pose a problem if you get injured at one point.

I've never really played any games before, but so far they aren't fun.

What kind of games did you play here?

We were stuck in a maze with nothing to eat but weird-looking mushrooms, with orders to hunt down wolves that turned out to be either impossible to catch or really hard to kill.

And before that there was something involving babysitting.

We were chased by a giant bear once. Teito was pretty mad about that.

A giant bear? I've killed pretty big monsters before, that doesn't sound like much. The question is, were you trapped in a maze while it was chasing you?

No. Our final examination required executing a very dangerous criminal though. Does that count?

Not that we really killed him, but...

Don't executions usually have the prisoner tied up or something?

Not in our case. The objective was either kill or be killed.
