Who: Kanda and anyone who'd like to run into him.
What: First order of business: exploring.
Where: The common room.
When: Mid-morning, shortly after Kanda's arrival.
Kanda had been in some strange places before--he'd been in mansions where the doors opened the wrong way on their hinges and the floor suddenly dropped out from underneath you, where the walls shifted and revolved like a cubist puzzle; and he'd been on the Ark, where doorways took you into rooms filled with snow-blanketed hills and a rainbow-painted sky, or else nothing but a vacant bottomless pit, near endless hallways, tropical rainforsts.
He wasn't the kind of person to trouble himself over how these things worked or to marvel at their mystery. He was more interested in getting in and out of them with missions completed smoothly.
So overly-animated furniture and doors that opened themselves notwithstanding,
Kanda had wasted no time in beginning to look around the place he'd found himself. He'd already established that his sword was missing. He'd found a window out of which he'd seen the expanse of water stretching all the way to the horizon. He even had his suspicions about what that could mean.
Making his way through the marble halls and frowning up at the columns, he had, before too long, found his way to a large central room filled with sofas and chairs. It looked like a lounge of some sort with a big fireplace at one end and tall shelves of books in one corner.
Kanda wasn't much the bookworm sort, but needs must. He could at least spare a cursory glance to see if there was something useful there before moving on. He wasn't one to be taken unawares though, so the first thing he did was to cast his eyes around the room, looking for anyone or anything that might be lingering there.
[OOC: Apologies in advance for the potentially slow replies--I'm without proper Internet at home for the next 10 days or so, so I am tagging from my phone (which takes forever) or whenever I can drop by an Internet cafe. x___x]
