RIP Michael Crichton (and yay Obama, I guess...)
While everyone's busy talking about Obama winning...
Just so you know, Michael Crichton died of cancer last November 4.
I can't say I'm the biggest Crichton fan (I've never even read Jurassic Park all the way to the end), but I do respect him as an author. His only book which I ever got to read in full was Sphere, back when I was still in grade school. Today, it still remains as one of the best sci-fi thrillers I've ever read.
Enthused as I am with Obama's victory over McCain (finally something good happening in this planet), I'm actually more deeply moved by Crichton's passing.
RIP, man. You'll be missed.
