I had my 28th epiphany...

Ok, so it was my 29th.

I turn 30 in 3 days. So to say goodbye to my 20's D and I took a 25 mile bike ride. It was incredible. I felt great up until I'd say about the last 2 miles. Those got a bit tough because I hadn't really eaten all day and my body was kinda pissed off about that. Also, the we really started riding into a head-wind and that's a pain in the ass, twice the work. So my quads were on fire and I couldn't get in a comfortable seat position.

My brother asked me how I felt about turning 30. I feel great. That year alone will contain some really cool stuff. I'll take a small vacation with my Dad and my sister to visit my brother and his family in Seattle. I will make my final trip as a student to Washington DC to lobby for my profession. I will take and pass the final part of my board certification. I will graduate with honors and become a Doctor of Chiropractic. I will take an amazing vacation to explore a country I've never been before. And I will begin a career that I love.

Many women will spend their 30'th year contemplating children, some a spouse, some a marriage, some their career, some their waistline. I've already contemplated all that, and made my decisions. My mind may change about some of those decisions, but I'm glad I've done the soul searching already. I'm glad I'm already confident in who I am as a person.

I'm excited about 30. I'll have to start planning my 30 mile ride to comemmorate my 30s.
