Lots of boring things.
Horse Stuff
First show of the year was a couple weekends ago. I was in the Limit/Adult 2' Hunter Over Fences division. And I use those terms very, very loosely. The fences were, in fact, perhaps 18" and there was a sad lack of entrants. Myself and two others, actually; it was sort of pitiful. While Bull was amazingly good and un-spastic (relatively speaking, of course), jumps really have to be 2'6" for him to actually care enough to do everything right. So we placed second in all three of the over fences classes, and third/last in the flat class. Naturally, we were doing SO well in the flat class until he completely flipped out over some stupid geese flying by. We so had the class until then. >:[
In any case, it was a good first show--I like the small ones. I wish they'd had bigger fences, though; the not-two-foot division was the highest. After my division--it was the last one--Jessica, Trini, Livi, and Stacy put all the jumps up to 3' and we had FUN! pic pic pic pic
In non-show-related-things, Cari's gone this weekend and so I get to ride Zoolander! I had a lesson on him yesterday--err, Friday--and then I rode him by myself yesterday. He's so....different! He's so very green and has no idea what he's doing, the poor boy. No idea how to carry himself or anything. It's a little like when Pharaoh was green, but then...not really. They're very different; different problems, and I know a lot more now, heh.
Speaking of Bull, he broke his bridle on Thursday, so I had to buy a new one today. The tack store didn't have any really cheap ones, so I had to settle for a $50 one. It's way darker than I wanted, but...oh well. It'll do.
TV Stuff
I'm too lazy to talk in depth about any of my shows, but how sad is it that everything good just had season finales? *sigh* BSG's been over for a while now, CSI and Survivor were over a few weeks ago, Heroes and Lost just ended...it ain't fair. Most of them won't be starting back up for a good long time, either.
1. CSI. Sara must not die. But zomg, everyone officially knows know that Sara/Grissom is twu wubbb! *wibble* Also, I'm still of the opinion that the Miniature Killer creepy!lady is getting rid of Sara because she wants Grissom for herself...not because of some revenge thing. Heh heh.
2. Heroes. OMG SYLAAR IZ COKROaCHE?!?!@./11l Good grief, people. It's called symbolism. Anyway, the finale = love and I wasn't as disappointed as some people were. Sylar lives, yay! There's a badder guy out there, oooh! Peter/Claire is adorable but so wrong, ohnoz! Matt is also adorable but very stupid, wupz!
Also, is Nathan dead? Or did he fly off at the last minute? Sigh. So many questions...
3. Survivor. Jeff Probst is the best, that's about all I have to say.
4. Lost. asl;dkhjfL:SHgL:HRLAKHRSLW WALT?!?! Locke wins at life. Jack flashFORWARD? I was shocked, that's for sure. Who was in the coffin? I'm leaning toward Benry. Sayid and Delenielle are both made of awesome. Also, they really should have re-recorded Danielle's message with Mira Furlan...because that chick was so not even close.
Graduation Junk
So, I'm graduating. Whoo hoo. Thrilling. Thankfully, I don't have to do any of that cap and gown crud; we're just having a party-cookout-sort-of-thing with the relatives tomorrow. Monday. Whatever. There'll be food (chocolate peanut butter pie...mm...) and presents, probably. So it's not all bad. But now I have to get a job and the library isn't hiring right now, so before too long I'll have to apply to Starbucks or something. Joy oh joy.
The other good thing about graduation is that mum and dad asked me if I wanted something as a graduation present. I don't really need anything at the moment, and most of the stuff that I want is either small, or very expensive. Options:
1. A new saddle. I saw the most awesome GREEN (in a leather-y sort of way) close contact Stübben saddle at the tack store yesterday. It was even on sale. For $1750. (Of course, if I did get this saddle, and then decided to go with neon blue/pink/yellow/anything but green as our Jumpers colors, it would clash...really badly.)
2. A RED iPod Nano. I have a first-gen iPod (my dinosaur) and a fairly old (har har) white nano. So it's not like I need another one. But...it's red...and so light...and thin...
3. Hair toys. I really need more hair toys. I want Ficcares--I've got my eye on three at least--and I desperately need more sticks/forks. I have a grand total of four.
4. A(nother) sword. I still want Boromir's...or Narsil, or Anduril. Or the Witchking's, maybe...
5. Jewelry! I love shiny sparkly pretty things. Especially the expensive kind. *g* I'm SURE I could find something fabulous at the Swarovski store at the mall...and these earrings are pretty, well...pretty...
6. More Chagrin Valley soaps/shampoos. I'm on my last soap bar and next-to-last shampoo bar, and the cost of those puppies adds up, not to mention shipping prices just went up. :( Soap and shampoo seems like kind of a strange graduation present, though...
So in short, I have no idea what I want! Go me.
