I'm updating because I really need something to take my mind off the gross pile of drippy SQUISH that's on my head right now. Yes...more henna. It's actually not dripping as badly as it did the first time--I think I got it a little thicker. It seems to drip more as it warms up, though. Sigh. It'll all be worth it! Hopefully, any way. I'm a little worried about this batch. The dye seemed to release quickly, but it wasn't very noticeable...I waited at least 18 hours and then I couldn't wait any more. Who knows how it'll turn out. :p I hope it at least works on the roots...they were getting pretty bad.
In more hair news...I picked up some Biotin at the store. 5000 mcg doses, yay. I've been taking one a day for a week-ish; a little too soon to tell if it's helping, I suppose.
Bull is doing fabulously. We seem to have two kinds of rides: awesome and horrible. I decided that when we start having a horrible ride, I'll just take a break to calm down, ask him to do something simple (trot in a couple circles or something) and then call it a day. My patience is so lacking that if we keep going, everything gets worse instead of better. Sigh.
But lately, we've had all awesome rides. The weather's been great--60° to 80° range and mostly sunny, so we've been riding outside. Yes! The indoor arena's not bad, but it's so small. Anyway, we've been jumping some fairly simple courses but with bigger jumps--2'6" is now the low and 3' is the high. I'm excited. :D Now that I have my driver's liscence I've got a pretty good routine going--ride Monday and Tuesday, take Wednesday off, ride Thursday and have a lesson Friday. Weekends are 'eh, if I feel like it I'll go' days. It's working pretty well.
Fifi and dad went out to breakfast/lunch and I couldn't go because of the mass of hair/goop/shower caps/towels on my head right now. Sucks, but dad said he might bring me something back. I hope all the orange washes off my face/neck/hands when it's time to get the henna off. I hate being all bright-bright-orange-faced.
Also, I'm thinking of henna-ing my eyebrows. They don't match my henna'd hair, but it's not TOO bad...of course, they might turn out to be way brighter or something. Maybe I'll just be safe and leave them alone.
I really want a
Ficcare for my hair. They have some gorgeous clips. Of course, they're massively expensive, too, and I really want another sword...I'm debating whether or not to try and save up money for that incredible dragon sword I saw at the Renaissance Festival last year. $1k! *dies* But it was so, so beautiful. I've never seen anything like it...it would look fantastic hanging under my big map of Middle Earth...
*sigh*
OH. I know what else I can talk about....Heroes!
First off, I have to say that I love the fact that Heroes puts the episode title IN THE EPISODE. Too few shows do that anymore. I like to be able to refer to episodes by name, and it's kind of a pain to have to look it up online.
Pretty much all I can say about this episode is "omg." Mohinder 2, Sylar 1 ! Who'd think that non-power Mohinder could take out big bad Sylar...twice? Hehe. Peter = very stupid for turning his back on Sylar...what? *scratches head* I have a feeling something that explained that got cut.
Peter/Claire = so amazing but so...well, wrong. Curse you, writers. Curse you. Maybe, just maybe, they aren't ACTUALLY related? Please?
Does Mama Petrelli have a power? I'm thinking she does, and Peter has it too (natch)--some kind of foresight/dreaming thing. Peter's had dreams--like the one of him blowing up New York, and the one of Nathan's car crash...the one where he flies...bits with Claude. Mama Petrelli knows stuff--about Claire, she knew about Nathan and Peter's powers, etc. Plus powers are obviously genetic, and we have no word on whether the boys' dad was special (well, unless Linderman is Peter's father...ew!). Hmm.
Why did Isaac have to die? *sniff* Isaac was interesting. (Well, and hot, but...) He was always sort of a minor character, though. :/ Sylar's painting style is verrry...interesting. But sort of cool. And much better than Peter's stick figures. *snarf*
Ooh, the henna's been on for an hour now. Time does fly when you're updating your LJ. I could take it off now, I suppose, since I don't have anything else to write about and I think an hour would do it. I'd like to stick to two, though. Sigh.
