[Catching Up] August in a Nutshell....
Okay just some bullet points to make this go quickly... cause then it's back to work and then off to Phoenix.
1. I was a groom's man in Owen and Sarah's wedding. Discussed earlier
2. I was the officiant (vested by the state of California rather than the Universal Life Church) at Brad and Jess' wedding. NOTE: I have now been pretty much every part of a wedding party that a male can classically be save for groom, father of the bride and bride's matron attendant (or whatever boy bride's maids are called). Does anyone know who I need to complain to about not getting my bride's maid? I mean really! I watch movies dammit, I'm supposed to hook up with a bride's maid. I'm going to write my congressperson, or maybe sue for breech of contract.
3. My contract ended at Oberon as a Software Tester (God has saved me from the hell of "United Football")
4. My contract was renewed at Oberon as a part of their Production Team (yay Lateral promotions!)
5. I finally confirmed with straiph that we are getting an apartment in September. I even have some furniture lined up.
6. I with the help of dunia began the project that will either make me a hero in the Cam or the equivalent of Hitler... or maybe both. Yeah for massive restructing... I'm mostly just going to blame wolfshield for any major burning at the stake offenses.
7. Speaking of the Cam... last month was my *ahem* 10 year anniversary in the club. TEN years. I'd go into a "Grosse Point Blank" style rant about it... but time is precious.
8. Also speaking of the Cam and just in time for said anniversay I've submitted my last MC review, why this is funny?
a. I could have turned it in 2 months ago but I wasn't aware the prestige I needed had been posted.
b. I'm going to be working at a job that "pays" well when I actually don't need to be paid at all. Yay Pro Bono!
c. I can now begin my quest in earnest... the contest that I, Tony Mungo and Alex T are all in competition for... to be the first Black Man to MC15!! (Don't ask me why Mungo and Alex T want to beat me as First Black Man to 15, I just know it's going to be cutthroat)
