Ok, I'll bite, this one's actually good

1. You only get to watch one movie for the rest of your life. Which one do you pick?
Fellowship of the Ring. Or all three if they count as "one movie." There are some beautiful moments that I never tire of watching: The look on Frodo's face at the beginning when he accepts his role, "What must I do?" Boromir's resignation and irony in Moria, "They have a cave troll..." It's the best of the three.

2. You get to completely destroy and remove one movie from existence. Which one do you pick?
Matrix: Reloaded. There are a lot of movies I dislike, but very few actually make me angry. What makes me even more angry is this movie's existance and that there are folks that actually try to defend it. I'd like it destroyed so we can also remove it as a subject of conversation.

3. Which movie that doesn't get nearly enough play would you recommend to everybody?
(These are hard) Welcome to the Dollhouse is what comes immediately to mind. Think of it as the ancestor to Napoleon Dynamite. The Big Blue has always been a favorite as well.

4. Which as-yet-unreleased movie this year would you kill someone to see early?
Meh. I can wait.

5. Which movie is the funniest movie you've ever seen?
Tough one. I think my favorite comedy is Galaxy Quest, but it probably doesn't qualify as the funniest movie ever.

6. Which movie has made you cry the hardest?
I'd have to say Pay it Forward. The memorial scene at the end just kills me.

7. What's the best ending sequence to a movie that you've ever seen?
Signs. I love the moment when we realize this movie isn't about aliens. I'm not a religious person, but I loved this ending. You can never go into M. Night movies with expectations, and I love that about him.

8. What's the best opening sequence to a movie that you've ever seen?
On the whole, I enjoy openings that are prologues or backstory. Maybe you don't understand until later in the movie what they were all about, maybe they just put you in the right frame of mind. Examples: X-Men, Fellowship of the Ring, Sixth Sense.

9. Who's your favorite movie character, and why?
I'm sure I'm wrong, but it's Lester Burnham from American Beauty at the top of my mind right now. I like Kevin Spacey in almost anything, but this is a great role. A dissatisfied "successful" American taking back the American Dream.

10. Which movie character do you think has had the best entrance ever in a movie?
Jack Sparrow Captain Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean. Great music, great presence.

11. Which movie character do you think has had the best exit ever in a movie?
This one's really hard. I think Kevin Spacey takes this one also, for the Usual Suspects.

12. Which supposedly good movie do you loathe?
Easy Rider. Pointless, aimless, stupid ending.

13. Which supposedly crappy movie do you love?
[Insert sappy romantic comedy here]

14. You get to kill one actor/actress and get away with it. Which one do you get rid of?
Rob Schneider. Although he was tolerably funny in 50 First Dates.

15. Which supposedly bad actor do you actually like?
I thought there weren't bad actors, only bad roles. I guess I'd have to say Jim Carrey. Most of his work isn't that great, but I liked him a lot in the roles where he's gotten to be "normal," ie the Truman Show, The Majestic (although I didn't like the movie itself)

16. Which supposedly good actor do you wish would just go away?
Tom Hanks. The movies he's in are usually good, but he himself is greatly overrated for someone who just plays Tom Hanks. Exceptions: Forrest Gump, the Ladykillers.
