Anh Do Live (Athenaeum Theatre, Melbourne)
I don’t watch a lot of television, so the references to Dancing with the Stars in the promotional material for Anh Do were lost on me. I saw his act on Saturday 5 April 2008. Anh’s live comedy act takes you on a rollercoaster ride. He confides tender, thought provoking moments, as he relates his experiences fleeing from Vietnam as a refugee and growing up in Sydney. And then, when he has you in the palm of his hand … he breaks the mood with the most hilarious relief. There are so many belly laughs to be had! His observations are witty, and very funny.
