silently the water rises
no one even knows
then suddenly clouds appear
which way will it go?
the cloud creeps along the unsuspecting land
hovering above the thirsty greens
like a hand
beckoning the life to come forward
to prepare for a glorious shower like never before
a flash of lightning alerts the sun for a show
but he goes and hides, fearing the blow
of thunder would shatter his rays of light
the sound of wardrums stir the creatures below
they run and hide,
in shelter they are safe
hours go by
those long, mostly silent hours
the peaceful noise of nothing but
rain and thunder
the curtain slowly pulls up
the rain dies down
the show is finally over
now for the sun to shine
serenity fills the land,
filled by the rays of the sun
the creatures rejoice, the plants are quenched
and all is well once again
the storm has finally passed
