I don't read social cues well. Like, if someone pays me a compliment, it registers in my head FIRST that they are making fun of me.
Example, during the group practice/party on Saturday night at the dance studio someone said "you look nice."
My first thought was that it was sarcastic. Do I have something on my face? etc.
This is AUTOMATIC. I don't know what to do about it. And if people are just "poking fun" at me and are trying to be playful... I usually can't tell the difference between that and being mean UNLESS I know them well. It's weird.
