CHARACTER RELATIONSHIPS: MAGIC
PB: Bernadette Peters
Maeve leads the coven in London, and is fiercely protective of her heritage; she's well-connected, young-looking for her age, and definitely on the brassy side. She's never been married but has had a series of monogamous relationships, and has one child, Aubrey. Her cover job is that of a historian.
Maeve Voyle | Witch (London coven) | 58
PB: Mini Anders
Aubrey has followed in her mother's footsteps, down to studying history, but she occasionally experiences the desire to be normal, and never lets the supernatural interfere in her private life.
Aubrey Voyle | Witch (London coven) | 30
PB: Kristin Scott Thomas
In the coven, Lynne is the only one who openly identifies as a witch. She runs a store that sells 'magic supplies'; the front is largely trinkets for tourists and wannabes, but the second story and basement have a different tale to tell. She does have a pretty new-age vibe, but she's good at what she does, and like all of the other members of the coven, is descended from a woman accused of practicing witchcraft.
Lynne Wilde | Witch (London coven) | 44
PB: Kelli Garner
A student in her second year of sixth form, Polly spends most of her time skiving off from college and smoking in alleyways. She's good-natured, but undisciplined in all areas that don't have to do with magic, and not terribly responsible. This is both personality-related and due to her age.
Polly Morgan | Witch (London coven) | 17
PB: Benoit Magimel
An ancient, immortal witch hunter whose hatred for magic is as passionate as his fervor for righteousness; he has a rough moral code, but is not above torture, lying, or kidnapping. He has a particular hated for the big names in magic, among whom the descendants of the House of Anjou have prominently featured.
Nicolas de Grieu | Witch (London coven) | 733; eternally 35
PB: Jade-Rose Parker
A young banshee who occasionally doubles as a singer in really loud punk rock clubs; her voice is unbelievable, but can become terrifying. She travels with Phillip Aston, a slightly younger fairy man, and they have a long-term (if rather open, due to their natures) relationship.
Aviva Rose | Banshee | 38; eternally 19
PB: Luke Grimes
A broody, handsome young man who's left a string of broken hearts all over the place; sometimes he means to do it, sometimes he doesn't. It's worked out thus far with Aviva because she's supernatural, like him, but he's constantly unsure as to whether things will stay this good. He's also less inclined to be helpful.
Phillip Aston | Gan Ceanach | 22
PB: August Diehl
A young man from a wealthy family who has psychic powers that allow the dead to communicate through him. He hates and fears his condition. Because of the supernatural maladies effecting the entire world, ghosts now have begun to carve their names and demands on his skin, leading his parents to have him briefly institutionalized. He is quite justifiably kind of bitter about his luck. And very, very isolated.
Adam Forsythe | Medium | 28
PB: William Forsythe
Genial and familiar with a great deal of lore. He's very good at self-defense and has a reputation as a brawler, but that's mostly because he excels at knocking people when they get out of line. It's simple to him, and people seeking his or his pack's help are expected to follow his hospitality rules.
Rhys Ithell | Werewolf | 37
PB: Vincent Perez
A very old vampire who has lost his desire for the pomp and dramatics that surround many other vampires' existences. He is concerned for the future welfare of the universe, but does feed whenever the mood strikes him. He's usually a bit dirty and has no qualms about sleeping rough, though often he'll at least find a hostel. He has followed the House of Anjou since its inception, with not a little concern about their practices.
Sotiris | Vampire | 970; eternally 32
