Often I’ve found humanity an open book.

An open book in which someone has spilled a glucose based solution (>=15M).  When the solution has evaporated the solute has caused the pages to freeze in their positions.  Now that the solution of idiosyncrasy has evaporated we see the halting properties of anthropocentricism.  This pervasive though, this egocentrism inherent in all social circles is the subliminal concrete that has slowed the progress of change to a lethargic crawl.  As if this sessile death isn’t enough, natural selection favors the strong entity with the power of change.

The concrete evolves to diamond.

The mentality, permeating us with its potency, evolves to a worldview.  It gains its façade (dogmatic belief) and pushes its agenda.

The epinephrine releases only to be stuffed back into the neurotransmittal bulbs by overt glial stimulation.

We see it, we feel it, we know its wrong, but somewhere down the line we sold our soul to the devils of haze.  Clouding our thoughts with semantics and definitive argument they give us what we paid for.  Our ticket is punched, and upon the instantiation of 9 more we get a free one.

Dopamine helps us realize we don’t care.

When we finally realize our error it’s too late.  This cognitive sepsis has gone systemic.  No point in stopping it now.

Enter endogenous morphine.  Help me cope.  Keep me grounded…

Or keep me from it.
