My thoughts on Light On.
First let me say I love the song. Period. Lyrically it's only okay to me so I'm actually glad David didn't write it. Vocally I think it's really good. He sounds absolutely amazing in my opinion. And boy can he sure belt it out when he wants to. I agree with his brother that I think it's a good transition song. I can definitely see it getting lots of radio airplay so yay!
And every time I hear it the word "naked" always sticks out to me. I think I just have a thing with that word. It's just so... odd... to me for some reason. Whatever.
On another note, comparing the 3 Idols who've released songs since the end of Idol (not counting TOML) I actually think I like Kristy Lee Cook's the best.
15 Minutes of Shame > Light On > Crush
I liked 15 Minutes from the second I heard it. And I'm not even a huge country fan. There's just something really catchy about it. I also like that it's a fun song. I didn't think KLC would be able to get me to like her music but I love that song. As for Light On - see above thoughts. Crush is okay and it's a really catchy pop song but I don't really see anything special about it. Nor does it show off the voice I know Archuleta has. Of course, I'll buy all their albums (and everyone else's from this season). Seriously.
Oh and last week I lost my voice completely and I thought the cold thing I had was over after that. But now, one entire week later, I can't breathe through my nose! WTF?!
