There goes my hero.

So pretty much this was my day in Tacoma for the American Idol concert on Saturday which was absolutely AMAZING!

I left Lynnwood at about noon and made it to Tacoma around 12:45. I parked kind of far away from the Dome but managed to find the area where everyone was waiting fairly easily. I was by myself but found myself next to these three really nice (and normal) girls from Snohomish I think. Anyway long story short I was out there for about 3 1/2 hours and got a wicked sunburn only to be told the Idols wouldn't be coming out until after the show, although I did spot Carly and Ramiele through the fence when me and two of the girls walked over there.

Then I had to drive from Tacoma to Redmond to pick up Sarah which took FOREVER because traffic on 405 sucked and the 520 bridge was closed. I spent about an hour in traffic for something that should have taken about 30-40 minutes. Then when I got there the street by her house was closed which made traffic terrible around the area. The eastside was not my friend yesterday.

Sarah and I made it to Tacoma at about 6:30 and made it to our seats (which were really good) just in time to see the dancing poptart.

Chekieze opened the show and I was really surprised at how good he was, as was Sarah. I took a few pics of his set and then my camera died. :( But he was really good.

Next was Ramiele and her set was kind of eh... Sarah and I kept saying that we wished they would bring back Chekieze lol.

Michael Johns was next and he sounded great. I screamed so much for him I wondered if I'd have any voice left for David Cook. I think I almost died when he sang "It's All Wrong But It's Alright" and Sarah couldn't believe that "Dream On" was what got him voted off Idol. I laughed when he said something like "this song got me voted off of Idol but I was told it wouldn't get me voted off the tour".

Kristy Lee was next and she said she was born in Seattle (who knew?) and that he couldn't believe she finally got to sing at the Tacoma Dome which made me lol because if performing in Tacoma is a great accomplishment than that's a shame. The older people (like 50-ish) behind us were REALLY excited to see her and me and Sarah were a little weirded out by that. Sarah and I took a seat during her set and I started texting my mom.

Next was Carly and I thought she was great but I really wish she didn't sing "Bring Me To Life" because I really don't like Evanescence. Sarah and I were the only people around us standing when she sang "Crazy on You" which we thought was dumb because it's not a slow song. She looked really pretty on stage and I thought she sounded amazing.

Then Brooke came out and she sounded nice but she isn't really my cup of tea. I surprisingly enjoyed her singing "Yellow" though and I loved that she was barefoot on stage.

Next came intermission and Sarah and I went to hit up the merch table but the line was way to long. Instead we decided to get our pictures taken with the dancing poptart (which her camera phone since my camera was dead). Our seats were on the floor next to that sound area and David Archuleta's dad was there (like 2 feet away from us) and people were going up to him and taking pictures with him which I thought was a little weird.

Next was Jason and he was alright but hes not really my cup of tea either. "Daydream" was nice though and I liked him playing the ukulele.

Syesha was next and Sarah and I decided to hit the merch table again and this time there was no line so e bought our stuff and still managed to catch the end of "Umbrella".

David Archuleta was next and I went into it thinking I wouldn't like his set but he blew me away. His voice sounded amazing and he was totally adorable! And I loled again when someone threw that teddy bear on stage and he was all "oh gosh" about it. I thought he picked good songs for himself ("songs with messages" lol).

David Cook was next and oh my god if I didn't just lose control of myself right then and there. I think Sarah thought I was crazy but I was screaming at the top of my lungs the seconded he started singing "Hello". He looked so good and I was so glad Sarah had her phone so she could snap pics for me. Next he sang "Time of My Life" and I called my mom during it cause I know she kind of likes that song. I called her again during "My Hero" which was absolutely amazing as well. He slowed down the pace of that song a little bit but I thought it still sounded great. "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" was amazing too (really the whole set was amazing). His encore was "Billie Jean" and I tried to record some of it to my phone but it sounded terrible so then I called Mikail but she didn't answer so then I just called my mom again so she could hear the end of it cause I know how much she also loves DC.

After David Cook's set they all came out to sing "Please Don't Stop the Music" which was whatever but I loved seeing David Cook and Michael Johns do the robot at the end.

After the concert was over Sarah and I headed out to where the buses were and managed to exit the door that literally led us right there which was great because we ended up at the front of a baracade in about the middle of the lineup. We waited for about 45 minutes for the Idols to start coming out and they all either started at the front or back of the line but Jason came right to the middle so I got him to sign my poster which was really cool. The next one to come by was Kristy Lee and she signed it too which was really cool. By that time Sarah and I decided to try to get everyone to sign the poster that we could. Ramiele came by next and she signed and chatted up the girl next to me for a sec. She is so tiny in person I couldn't believe it... she has to be barely 5 feet tall. Syesha was the next to come by and sign and she was really pretty in person (which I debated about telling her with Sarah and she was like 2 feet away from us at that point so if she would have heard us she probably would have thought we were crazy so luckily she didn't). Carly came by next and when she signed I told her she was great tonight and she said thanks and was so pretty in person!

Then I started getting really excited cause Michael Johns and Chekieze were really close to us and Sarah and I had been talking the whole time we were waiting about how excited we were to talk to Chekieze and all the little girls around us were like "we don't care about Chekieze". Whatever.  Michael Johns came by first and signed and I told him he sounded great and he said thanks and his voice is like pure sex. I love Australian accents, Next Chekieze came by and we told him he sounded amazing and that we loved his set and he signed our poster and said thanks. Then Sarah said "I don't even watch American Idol and I thought you we amazing." and he chuckled and said "really?... thank you." We totally fangirled over him and I think he enjoyed it.

Then ZOMG right after that David Cook was just a few people down from us and I couldn't contain my excitement. He came right up to us and signed our poster and then I said something to him like "you're great" and he said thanks. Unfortunately he couldn't take pictures with people but I was like "David can I get a hug?" and he was like "sure" and looked all cute and happy and what not. And he gave a hug hug. It was like an embrace and he smelled really good and I could feel the hug for like ever after it happened. I think I actually almost died lol. Then he ran over to the fence I think and came back and stood right in front of us and was like "where was I?" and he realized he'd already signed our poster so he moved down the row and I said "David you were amazing tonight!" and he totally stopped what he was doing adn looked back at me and was like "what?" so I said "you were amazing tonight!" and he said "Aww thanks!" all while looking right at me. OMG I like had a short chat with David Cook! I was so freaking excited! Sarah got some pics from her camera phone which was cool too.

David Archuleta came by shorty thereafter and I felt bad cause he looked the most frazzled of all of them. Girls were like screaming at him and people were practically throwing things at him for him to sign. But he was nice and signed the poster and I told him he sounded great and he said thanks in that adorable 'oh gosh' way that he always does. Said "stay in school David Archuleta" to him which I don't think he heard but I loled and said "don't tell him that!"

But pretty soon after that they were taking all the Idols aways and I was sad that I didn't get Brooke to sign my poster cause she was the only person I was missing. She did come by and wave though. Michael Johns and Chekieze ran by slapping hands with people so I slapped hands with both of them. Then the security guys told us to leave but it was all good. I was still excited from hugging David Cook that I was squealing on the way to the car and I couldn't even really form sentences until halfway through dinner at Dennys in Fife after we left the Tacoma Dome.

Overall it was a really amazing night and the best concert ever! Totally made my exhaustion today and all the driving I did worth it! I FREAKING HUGGED DAVID COOK! Nuff said.

chikezie is too cool for school, david archuleta is so freaking adorable, seattle bbs, dennys in fife, david cook needs to get in my bed, ai7 owns my soul, michael goddamn australian johns, billie jean is gonna fucking satisfy you
