Because Kara asked I will explain. My lj name came from a story my mom used to tell me about when she was in college. She had this professor that her and her friends called "loony bat" and he was pretty much the most insane college professor you could imagine. He was obsessed with JFK and Abraham Lincoln and used to give really insane tests where he would test people on picture captions from the text book and stuff like that. Long story short - he used to lecture and then he would randomly ask a question but it wouldn't really be a question. He would just look at someone and ask "the thing is what?" and they were supposed to know what it was. I pretty much thinks it's one of the most hilarious things ever (as does my mom) so hence my name - thethingiswhat.

Now there's that music meme that's going around but I'll probably post that up at a later date because right now all I've been listening to is the new Fall Out Boy cd. It's pretty freaking awesome and I love every song on it. :)
