i'm sure that your experience will be much different than mine, but I can give you an idea at least. the law school isn't located on the same campus as the rest of the school.. its kinda accross the street, and in a whole new building that they're starting up. but i've heard good things about it, including that the first class gets free tuition.. though i'm not sure if there's a limit to the amount of students.
lynchburg is a pretty small city... definitely a college town though. There's about 4 colleges in that area. Lots of restaurants, lots of hotels, lots of stores. Lynchburg kinda shuts down at night, so your best bet is usually the dollar theater, which is great. Its super cheap to live there though, and its beautiful. Pretty mountains, pretty scenery. friendly people. weather isn't tooo bad. it really doesn't snow that much, and so its a mild winter. and its not in the middle of nowhere though, so that's a plus.
i love liberty, but i know alot of people hate all the rules. so i would definitely advise you to check those out. (under "The Liberty Way") since its for law school you would be off campus i'm assuming, so alot of the rules won't apply to you, which is nice. you get a quality education there, and very good christian environment.(kinda like a prolonged christian camp) lots of things to get involved in. lots of activities. the sports teams are pretty good. (except football)they have concerts, and famous people speak there, and of course, its jerry(falwell)'s school, so that's always interesting. (and very political) the food stinks, but again, if you're off campus it shouldn't affect you too much. the school is continuously growing (8,000+ students next year probably). they are building so many new things and just really expanding. it has its problems like any college. definitely the christian aspect is going to be the biggest selling point. sooo many opportunities in that area. i've grown so much spiritually and its definitely been worthwhile.
Liberty has been great. I'm going back for the master's program in the fall, and I'm getting a job on campus, so I will be a Lynchburg resident next year. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
I really don't know what else to tell you, I hope that helps some and gives you an idea. Sorry its sooo long... I ramble! Good luck w/your decision.

what you said sounds fine to me. i wonder if i would enjoy it as an undergrad, but i'm very interested in the law school
here's a few random questions.
- are there local stores: record shops, book stores, coffee houses, etc.?
- do you have a super target ?
- last question. church. do students to local churches or what?
thanks so much for your help.

local stores: there's a record exchange, where you can buy used music for cheap. can't really think of any other actual "record shops". y'know, other than fye in the mall. there's barnes and nobles, givens, walden books. there's drowsy poet which is the cofeehouse. there's a starbucks a bit further away. there's lots of other little shops around, downtown.
nooo super target, sorry. but there IS a super walmart right accross the street, and a regular target down the street from that.
as for church, well, lynchburg is on the bible belt, and its jerry's town, sooo, there's like a million churches. most people try to get out and find a "normal" church, w/real people and stuff, and you can get invovled, and alot of churches have services geared towards college students. those of us who are car-less (i.e me) we stick to campus church, which is actually pretty awesome. but you tend to get tired of seeing the same people all the time, so there a lots of good churches around.
hope that helps. if you have any other questions just let me know.
