A cultural exchange sounds like an interesting idea.

Indeed. May I ask you a few basic questions?

[Old man puts on his interviewer's voice]
Alright, first I'd like to know your name. I don't believe we've met.

My first project related question, though. What is the name of your world, and what are its continents like?

[He's used to interviews :|]

My name is Oroku Saki, and I have not been here for very long.

My world is called Earth, and its continents vary like I'm sure they do in most worlds.

[Bit of a broad question that is.]

[He knows its broad, and intends to narrow it down]

Nice to meet you, Mr. Oroku. I've heard of Earth through other people. Which continent or nation to you come from?

Also, is Oroku your family name, or your given name? and which name-order is customary in your country?

I am originally from a country known as Japan located in Asia, though I traveled over to America when business led me there.

[Actually, both "Oroku" and "Saki" have been used as his surname. "Oroku" was used most of his very long life, and "Saki" used more recently. He doesn't really care that much about it. It's complicated.]

Oroku is my surname. In Japan surnames are usually put first.

Interesting. In my world, we do not commonly have surnames.

My next question: Is there much cultural mingling on Earth?
