Kirby Eriks Beatty arrived last night -- a week before his due date. Delivered via c-section at 8:16 -- 8 pounds 7 ounces and 22 inches long. Baby and new mama Erika are doing great.
First name is for cartoonist Jack Kirby -- his middle name comes from his late Latvian grandpa (male Latvian names tend to end with "s") -- whose funeral was held the day this boy was born.
We're probably not going home until Monday or Tuesday due to recovery time for Erika -- but wanted to send a quick message with the details and link to photos.
