the end to my day
So last night i was rather pleased with my day.
Then before dinner my internet connection went out again. I was running back and forth from the Laundromat getting stuff done, and popped into the foyer for my quick meal. I finally got ALL my stuff washed/dried/folded and made my way towards my apartment.
... only to find there was no electricity in the entire apartment. I had this great plan of sitting down and reading and organizing some stuff and putting away all my clothes all nice and neat...
nope.
I went to the foyer where the creepy animateur people were having some sex themed party/education thing and everyone was laughing like they were 10. I tried to get their attention for awhile but they seemed very disinterested in helping me. Finally one of them listened to the fact that the entire building had no electricity next door. Then she prompty forgot what i had told her. After waiting another 10 minutes, she directed me to the other guy in charge in the evening, who was busy giggling right along with the "pourri" french kids in my foyer. He finally came over to take a look and se if he couldnt jump start the electricity.
After lighting my few candles and realizing i was not happy, Scott stopped by and i followed him out to have a drink. He leaves Saturday. so sad! I will miss him. It was nice to have him next door all year.
After a few gin and tonics and some loud, loud canadian girls, i made my way home.
My light turned on and my internet connection was back.
A happy ending.
This, by the way, is the quickest anything has ever gotten fixed over here. And i am certainly glad it d get fixed seeing as i have a guest coming for the weekend!
