So London..
WAS FANTASTIC!
i must say i DO love london a whole lot. Betsy was super nice and let me stay in her bed while she crashed downstairs with some of the other girls. Me and Jenni were free to stay up and catch up all night which we definitly did. I haven't seen her since finals week last year dudes... we had a bit to catch up on.
We did an amazing job of running all around the city and seeing everything we could all on a Sunday. Saturday night was a chill night at a local pub and Monday morning was a lovely walk around hype park and portobello road.
I bought a tube map coffee cup AND umbrella. I already have the red bus keychain that Jack got me. These novelty items make me extremely happy, and am only sad i never picked anything cool up from Amsterdam. I am right up there with Meredith on loving those crap tourist shops. I can't help it. They are fabulous.
I now have 5 coffee cups and one british flag shot glass to haul back with me. 5 coffee cups! I am going to be a little old woman someday with a big wall full of coffee cups on a peg board much like where the mugs are kept on the wall of the VR... and i will show this wall with pride someday as i describe where and when i collected each cup... "and thins one i got when i 22 traveling around Paris. The first one is from xmas when blahblahblah and the other one was picked up for me in the Spring to match blahblahblah..." and there will be cats.
And DO NOT think i dont plan on getting a 6th coffee cup while in La Rochelle/Ile de Re this weekend. Visit after visit i never buy anything in the area... but this time i will have a coffee cup to remember the good ol' times of my poor high school french, drinking wine underage in their wine cellar, hanging out when marion finally turned 18, and champagne with CNN international after the capture of saddam hussein. That was a fun afternoon at the Cochevelou house.
Anyway... this week has been uneventful. Yesterday saw a 2 hour fun "whats wrong with france" session with a glass of wine, carrie, vicky, and jack, talking to a new guy at the foyer who wanted me to translate 2 pac lyrics for him and ask someone from home to send a brian mcknight cd for him as he mimicked the music video for me, and west wing and tea (non-caffienated) before bed.
Today i have 2 classes to teach.
Tuesday i had 2 classes out of 4 to teach because the other 2 teachers were on strike.
My fridge is empty, and tomorrow i have 4 classes then leave for la rochelle.
Time to get ready for classes.
