Beer Independence

Was discussing the finer points of the production of beer last night. It seemed like a good idea to try and produce all the essential elements of a beer myself. I'm curious what a beer, whose elements where all produced myself, would taste like. Probably crappy but then it would be my crappy beer.

So here is the plan...

Year 1:

Acquire the means and knowledge for propagating beer yeast.

Get some hops roots and start growing them.

Year 2:

Propagate hops for increase production.

Grow some barley and malt it.

Make Beer.
