Just to rub it in for all you poor suckers experiencing winter, today was a gloriously sunny 70 degrees here in L.A. Right now I'm wearing a camisole, short denim skirt and flip flops, and considered spending the afternoon at the beach. So HA!

i like the flip-flops idea, but i also like wearing pants and loathe shorts (other than running shorts) so i don't mind the cold ;)

You know what's odd is that I love short skirts but hate shorts. Shorts make people's legs look...boxy and generally unflattering. Anyway, I think I'd like to be in the cold sometime, just to experience it, but I don't think I could handle entire seasons of it.

I honestly don't think I've ever felt that cold of temperature. Even the few times I've seen snowfall, it was barely cold enough for it to snow and it was a light snowfall. I don't know how I would handle cold winters like you guys have.

It sucks; and this is shaping up to be a really bad winter. Part of it is that if you're on the leeward side of the great lakes you get "lake effect" snow. basicly, small bands that develop and are often so intense that they will POUND one area with 1-2 feet and just 10 miles to the north? nothing. we had some indian summer and a couple warm weeks in dec-jan and so the lake is still fairly warm, despite the bad cold snaps. Ontario is just big enough to take awhile to freeze over but not so big that the bands stay over the lake...BLAH.

So yeah. The greater Syracuse area has some of the worst winter weather in the country.
