"In the bleak midwinter Frosty wind made moan, Earth stood hard as iron, Water like a stone; Snow had fallen, snow on snow, Snow on snow, In the bleak midwinter, Long ago." --Christina Rossetti, A Christmas Carol

About: This mix came out of circumstances similar to "Gray Skies and Falling Leaves." It was extremely cold outside, to the point where I felt my hair, still wet from the shower, start to freeze when walking around. I came home, looked out my window at the massive expanse of snow covering the thin, dead trees, and was inspired. This mix feels cold to me, but there are strong elements of warmth in the tracks; while sometimes feeling hollow, there are small pieces of heat in the sound that make an attempt to fill in the freezing gaps. I'd like to think that the final track, "Time & Space," has an element of hope for the next season in it.
