List seven songs you are into right now, no matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in...blah blah blah, I think most of you got this down.
Paralyzer - Finger Eleven; "I'm not paralyzed/ But I seem to be struck by you/ I want to make you move/ because you're standing still/ and if your body matches/ what your eyes can do/ You'll probably move right through/ me on my way to you"
Good song, I really like the guitar and overall beat and rhythm to it.
Wish Liszt (Toy Shop Madness) - Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Well, TSO is just bad ass anyway, and this tune holds to that. It's upbeat and has that perfect blend of guitar and orchestra that TSO just does so damn well.
People Are Strange - The Doors; "People are strange/ When you're a stranger/ Faces look ugly/ when you are down/ Women seem wicked/ When you're unwanted/ Streets are uneven when you're down/ When you're strange/ Faces come out of the rain/ When you're strange/ No one remembers you're name/ When you're strange"
Seriously now, what can I say? This one's just awesome.
Freddie Freeloader (or any song really) - Miles Davis
I was just recently introduced to the music of Miles Davis, and while I haven't found a favorite quite yet, they're all great so far. Have a ice mellow feel and flow to them, plus they remind me of those Film Noir narrated Private Eye movies...
I leaned back into my chair, my eyes staring out the window past the empty street into nothing. Today had been a busy day, I had six people walk through my door since this morning, one of them actually had a case for me; some broad who thought the husband was getting some extra time in under the sheets, just not with her. I told her I'd think about it. The rest all wanted money, I told them to go take a dive of the bridge. After I told them the check was in the mail.
I grabbed a glass and some bourbon off my desk, the only two things that weren't covered by a layer of dust, and poured a healthy amount into the glass. Healthy, hmph. Maybe if I wanted to embalm myself. Besides, that was what the vodka in the cabinet was for.
I leaned back again and put my feet up on the desk, kicking up a small cloud of dust. Maybe I could catch a few winks before that broad came back for an answer. What was her name again? Eh, no matter. They were all the same, nameless...
"Hey!, would you shut up! I'm trying to nap here!"
Sorry
OK, back on track now that we've taken the scenic route...
Who Are You - The Who
Now, anyone who watches CSI knows this song, but the question is...who are YOU?
Hum Hallelujah - Fall Out Boy
This one is just really catchy with the guitar and vocals. Can't really say why I like it.
Rhapsody in Blue - Gershwin
If you don't know, I don't know what to tell you. Except go watch Fantasia 2000, it's in there.
