Happy happy happy!
My new diapers arrived! They are exquisite. One Happy Heiny purple pocket, one BumGenius twilight AIO, one Thirsties periwinkle cover and four Kissaluvs unbleached fitteds. ALL IN SIZE MEDIUM!!!! I can't believe it, Alli has outgrown so much of her newborn stash. The newborn sized Kissaluvs in particular barely snap on her anymore. The new ones are so soft and beautiful, I can't wait to get them prepped so she can start wearing them. (This is a lame process but at least you only have to do it once!)
Does it make me a nerd to be so excited about diapers? You betcha! But I have to say, changing Ben was such a chore that Stephen and I used to count whose turn it was and fight over who had to do it. Changing Alli? I love it. It's fun, every time! I usually choose her new diaper depending on practical things like how close we are to a potty or whether she'll be napping or sleeping in it, or whether we are visiting people who will want to hold her. But I also, especially at home, choose on whims like, ooh, this color matches her outfit! Ben likes to pick out her diapers too. She has a few gender neutral ones like green that he really liked before she was born, but interestingly, the older she gets, the more likely he is to pick out the girliest diaper he can find. "Here mom! I think Alli should wear the pink one!" :-)
