WIB went OK, i guess ...

there are three emails in my inbox marked "women in business" one has a smily in the subject line. two do not. i have not been brave enough to open them yet. even though its over, its not really over until i find out what i screwed up. monday morning quarterbacking and all. (wednesday in this case) yesterday, one of the writers said he got a call saying his story was the best thing the person had read in the paper in 10 years! so that's good i guess, although i didn't have anything to do with it ... no voicemails at least. those are worse. emails you can respond to with email, but a voicemail usually requires a call back.

last night, i looked over the section at home, searching for horrifying errors, like running the same woman twice or switching two photos or dropping someone out of it completely. i didn't see anything, but not all of those things would be noticeable ... especially the photo switch.

:deep breath:

here goes ...

edit:

the first one with the smily is: i enjoyed your section but why didn't you write about ME and all the businesses near me? We're women toooooo!

the second one, reprinted word for word: "What a great section on Women in Business! You and The Daily World showcased those who are working to make a difference in our community. Thanks for a job well done."

the third one: yipes, it was someone in it who wanted to know when it would be running. Opps. I told her she could pick one up at the office if she missed it.
*ammeded again* "I saw it yesterday after I sent the email, and it is really fabulous! Good job Suzanne!"

and another email from a radio station who was wanting to do the same thing and wanting to meet with me and perhaps borrow some suggestions of people who i didn't have room for. hmmm.

work, tired
