So the shitfaces can't decide whether Pluto is a "planet" or not, huh? I don't know if I'm just a conservative, but I don't think that the eccentricity of its orbit should matter. I think that its second-to-latest status as a "double planet," due to it and its ex-satellite Charon actually move around each other (around a point outside of both of them), was a much better description. "Dwarf planet"? There are planets and there are asteroids. Obviously Pluto and Charon can no longer be considered planet and satellite anymore because Charon doesn't really revolve around Pluto specifically, I understand that, but why make it a separate "dwarf" planet as well while leaving eight planets and a bunch of asteroids? That's dorky.
Yeah that's not a scientific mindset to want to stick to an old way when a new one is better. I'm just not convinced that this new way, this new definition, is necessary.
And it might change to something completely different in my lifetime.
I think I'll stop being annoyed and look forward to interplanetary travel, which according to movies HAS to happen sometime in the twenty-first century.
