Yes! My dad is just like this. He always looks so lost and confused if someone else steals his chair. It's like his own little bubble, separate from the rest of the world.

...full of peanuts, lost remote controls and chocolate wrappers...

Do you live with your parents? I don't know much about your home life. I'll be staying with my parents over the next few months, so I have plenty of dad-stuff to look forward to. *sigh*

No, I moved out a couple of years ago, thankfully. Sorry if your father is annoying. That chair and mess stuff you described sounds like a lot of people I know, so I had to copy it down when I saw it. Let you guys know you're not alone. :)

It won't be long before I can move out myself, and have full control over the sweet, sweet red button on the TV remote. And have my own chair! That I can keep clean!

A close second is being able to do every day, what I've done today. It involves:

a) Lots of Hans Zimmer, Lisa Gerard, Dead Can Dance and other assorted MP3s.
a) A BitTorrent client for downloading more.
d) The loud living-room stereo system.

Mmmmuahahaha! I can't wait to be working; I'll be able to buy the CDs properly.

It's from the film Black Hawk Down. I downloaded the soundtrack a while ago and have listened to it a number of times. The film itself was on TV a few weeks ago, and I tried to watch it... It seemed like typical Hollywood macho war fare*, which is okay sometimes but perhaps I wasn't in the mood.

*War fare! Warfare! Oh, I'm so clever. ...*shuts up*
