Been away from LJ a while. Reading, of course. I have much to catch up on. I noticed something so I'd like to write it down.
It's now popular for women to wear tall knee-high boots over their pants. Rain boots, leather boots, plastic boots, wool boots, furry boots, brown boots, hot pink boots, striped boots, black boots, high-heeled boots, non-heeled boots, shiny boots.
Actually most of them are waterproof or otherwise warm boots, with low or no heels. It's very nice to see women wear something practical for once.
I found this interesting because it used to be (ten or less years ago) that knee-high boots were only worn with skirts and dresses. I looked forward to the day when fashion would finally start catching up with Star Wars. Original Trilogy, of course.
